OUTPOST is always looking for invigilators and encourages anyone who is interested to get in touch with the gallery. OUTPOST offers £20 expenses per day of invigilation. As well as keeping the gallery open for a day, invigilators also have the opportunity to get involved with various jobs in and around the gallery, and gain an insight into the inner workings of running a contemporary art space.
OUTPOST is looking for expressions of interest from individuals wishing to join the steering committee.
The role of Steering Committee Member is a two year voluntary position to be undertaken after a 3-6 month period of shadowing the current committee. Committee members manage the programme of activity at OUTPOST Gallery, as well as the running of OUTPOST Studios in Gildengate House and various offsite events. Steering Committee will be entitled to a small research and development budget, and time based reimbursements related to administration work and gallery technician work of OUTPOST artistic activity.
OUTPOST Creative Programme
Over the next three years OUTPOST aims to contribute to the better representation of artists and practitioners from a diversity of backgrounds, by promoting upcoming artists through programming and providing beneficial developmental opportunities. The OUTPOST Creative Programme will facilitate a series of exhibitions, events, residencies, and workshops over three years, and is funded by the Arts Council England to support and provide opportunities for artists from lower-socioeconomic backgrounds, and/or individuals that consider themselves as a working-class artist.
OUTPOST is accepting expressions of interest that will influence the selection of artists during the next three years of OUTPOST Artistic Activity. The OUTPOST Steering Committee will review expressions of interest on a regular basis and successful individuals will be invited to exhibit by a member of the steering committee.
If you are interested please contact the gallery at email@example.com with a completed expression of interest form for consideration.
